I don't recall brand but I do enjoy this one smoky and peppery BBQ.
I don't like the sweet type.
Beth's BBQ Sauce:
1/4 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
2 T. Worcestershire Sauce
1 Cup Tomato Sauce
1/2 Cup Water
1/2 Cup Brooks Tangy Catsup
2 T. Brown Sugar
1 Teaspoon Salt (skimpy)
1/4 Teas. Chili Powder
1/4 Teas. Paprika
1 Dash Cayenne Pepper
1 Teas. Dry Mustard
1/2 Onion (chopped fine)
1/4-1/3 Cup Brown Sweet Molasses
Stir together, bring to boil on medium heat, then turn down and simmer on low heat for 80 mins. Stir occasionally.
My husband is a terrific cook. He makes up for his disabilities by keeping me well fed. I love his BBQ sauce.

I always buy sauce from some of my favorite local BBQ restaurants, or will drive way out in the country to great BBQ places. I avoid the chains.
My favorite styles, but these are all ultra close, as l love all four.
1. North Carolina style vinegar BBQ sauce - HOT
2. Memphis style, tomato based red
3. Kansas City style dark thick
4. Texas dark style red
I don't like the Alabama white sauce either. In Georgia, mostly North Carolina style and Memphis style are available. Accompanying Brunswick stew is more often outstanding here.
I know somebody that lives in MO now.. I told them to get me this Sneads sauce based on this post of yours.. I always like trying different things.
