Indians ruin lamb imho. It tastes like a wierd kind of beef when they cook it. I never order lamb when eating out in an Indian restaurant.
$10 a 6-pack is cheap for guinness. I pay about $18 here for the fizzy stuff, and the AUS $ is more than the US $ these days.
Made a lasagna and bought a case of Budweiser and a six-pack of Guinness. Saving the Bud for a later time.

dinner tonight is going to be hot bacon dressing on wilted (romaine) lettuce salad...yum! my favorite summer dish!
cook the bacon, then drain some of the fat, add garlic,onion, some pepper, till fragrant. add tsp sugar & some vinegar to make the hot dressing pour over bite sized romaine mix & heat till coated and wilty. add chopped hard boiled egg on top!
Tonight I was thinking I might marinate chicken breasts in soy sauce and grill them with melted white american cheese and pineapples on top, make rice pilaf and grilled corn on the cobb, a small garden salad and white wine. (I actually do more cooking than my wife – about 60% of the time). We almost always light candles on the table.

A hot summer storm just passed and lowered the temp. into the 80s so I think I'll fire up the BBQ tonight and have some baby back ribs. A spicy dry rub before hand and then slather on some Sweet Baby Ray's with a little Cattleman's mixed in for smoke. Yum. I think the rain lowered the swimming pool temp too so we made need to have a little moonlight skinny dip and a glass of wine before dinner.
I need to build a meal around some corn bread. Any ideas? I needs me some corn bread.
Giant tiger shrimp roasted on the BBQ and finished off with a sweet Thai chili sauce paired with a tossed salad with farm fresh cucumbers, carrots, radishes and celery. On the side...steamed broccoli with a vidalia onion and peppercorn sauce...
SOOOO hungry!
