I am making chicken and pasta salad for tonight
Tonight is a meal my woman has introduced me to, a Romanian dish called "city chicken".

3 cubed pork tenderloins and place them on skewers (about 5 peices per skewer) - you are looking at the screen saying "Dude you said chicken" I know I know! I said the same thing
Dip the skewers into 2 beaten eggs
Then roll them in a mixture of breadcrumbs seasoned with paprika, garlic powder, and salt and pepper
Place them in a hot frying pan with vegetable oil and diced onions (leeks work great as well) brown on all four sides
Transfer to a roasting pan and bake them with the top on for 45 min at 425 f take the top off the last 15 min to brown even more

Voila! City chicken!

Usually prepare this with Mamalega (polenta) and market fresh vegetables - tonight will be brussel sprouts.

Pair with a 2008 Sonoma Valley Shiraz - c'est tres fantastique!

Itsa big Italiano feast ...

Homemade lasagna, made like I was taught by a friends grandmother who spoke no English only Italian with freshly made sauce from tomatoes! (the noodles are bought sad )
A large salad of veggies with baby spinach & butter lettuce.
Noga Garlic bread! (meaning .... melted butter & loads of garlic ... soaked into the fresh french bread and sprinkled with parmasan cheese and baked! oooh yummm)

Thinking though, I need to bake something for dessert .... or maybe I'll just pick up some vanilla bean ice cream with homemade butterscotch drizzles!

Buon appetito!
