Have you every had a parnormal encounter that scared the living daylights out of you?
I was driving through Nevada a few weeks ago. I was someplace between Salt Lake City and Reno in the middle of the night. It was dark and I was the only car around. I though I saw somebody cross the road in front of me. I slammed on the breaks, but couldn't see anything, so I continued driving. Then I felt like somebody was in my car. I was driving a soft top jeep so you can unzip from the outside. I thought somebody had climbed in the last time I stopped. I pulled over and turned around, but nobody was there, which isn't suprising since I hadn't stopped in three hours and hadn't seen a person or other car in about five. By far one of the scariest moments of my life, and I have been in a lot of bad situations.
I was in a building I used to work at. It happened years ago and I cannot remember if it was a church or a shelter. I was putting something away on the third floor and I heard an angry man scream. It sounded like it came from the hall right next to the room I was in, but I looked and no one was there. I went down stairs and the only other people in the building was two old women. It gave me a good scare.
Oh, lovely, spooky stuff. Seeing the same ghost twice has put me off of it for good! When I was about 8 or 9, it was 4th of July, and because fireworks laws were pretty strict, we didn't have any. However a neighbor's son who was about 17 or so (and sooo cute) asked if we wanted to go with him and his brother and sister up in the hills to get a great view of the big fireworks displays all over the valley. We all jump in the car and being a 17 year old he was driving pretty fast. Up in the hills we were coming up to a blind corner and he speeds around it only to slam on the brakes as hard as he can because a man walked right out in front of us! Tires screech as the car shudders to a stop. We get out, but then realize we did NOT hear anything hit the car. I was in the middle in the back seat, and I could see the man step in front of us. The driver saw him clearly, as did his brother who was in the passenger seat. Nobody there. We looked around, no sign of anyone. We decide that we won't mention it to our folks as there is no damage to the car other than maybe a flat spot on the tires. Eight years later, I'm doing a report on local folklore and supposed hauntings. I find a book about ghosts in the Bay Area and there's a pretty accurate description of what we'd seen that night. And about another three hundred reports, all on the same road, all at night, and every single driver says they were speeding. It's assumed that someone WAS killed and he's there to warn people. Flash forward to sophomore year of college and I'm home on summer break and my idiot boyfriend dumps me via phone from Seattle. I am furious, and I have a hot car (69 SS Camaro) and I roar off. Up...into the hills, and it's just getting dark. I figure I'll get a ticket, but I need to vent my anger somehow, and as I roar around a blind corner, I slam on the brakes as hard as I can because someone has stepped right in front of me! I screech to a halt, and the memories come back. It's the same road. I was 20 then. I'm 40 now, a happy wife, a soon to be mother, and a well educated person, but not for love nor money will I ever drive that road again as long as I live.
I want no part of anything supernatural ever again. There's supposed to be a bar that's got a ghost in Everett, but I won't go. Nope. Never.

If I did, I don't remember it........I must've blocked it out because I got scared.

I'm a skeptic, but for a few years in my late twenties, friends of mine both in real life and online, kept telling me they had dreamed about me, and with minor variations, it was the same dream! This happened over a dozen times, and then stopped. I'm still not sure all my friends weren't conspiring to play an elaborate practical joke on me!
Used to do ouija boards with friends and some of that got a bit spooky, but one of the friends I was doing it with was/is an amateur stage magician so there may have been some manipulation going on.
Other than that, just odd, eerie feelings with no real specific phenomena I can cite as the cause of the feeling. I'm a skeptic on paranormal phenomena, generally. Basically, I'm open to the idea that there is something going on with a lot of them but doubt it will turn out to be supernatural in origin.
Back when I first moved into the Apartment
I went to sleep and I woke up because I felt the bed move ( it was a waterbed )
I opened my eyes slowly and on the bed there was an old lady in a tattered night gown she turned and she looked at me and opened her mouth as if to scream
Over the next few months I kept seeing her..sometimes in the mirror ..it was always no matter what upstairs though..I didn't want to say anything because a part of me felt like I was probably just insane.. Finally Josh said he couldn't stand being upstairs anymore and I asked why and he told me..and he described the very thing I had been seeing..it kept on and eventually we just moved downstairs and slept on the couch for the next few years..and we only used the upstairs for the bathroom and showering.
We were very happy to move.
