All those games really make people smarter? Or it's just an okay exercise, as good as reading a book, doing the newspaper crossword, or practicing a new language?
I had a few games on my cell-phone, (I got no playstation, and I am not gonna buy one) but I got bored soon, I wonder if people who play those games on a daily basis for a few months notice a real change in their brain power?
Recent studies show that what those kind of games make people smarter at is playing those games, and *only* that. That means playing a block-moving game (like Gridlock) cannot improve your spatial skills. So -- learning Chinese could be actually only better! (You will want to live when China takes over the world, won't you?)

How about games like word association game and "Would you fuck the person above you?"
You mean there might actually be evidence that hanging out in the Lush forum makes you smarter???
Cool...
I don't know if it makes you smarter per se but it keeps the mind active and that's supposed to be a plus. It also as been said that it helps stave off Alzheimers and dementia. Like muscle memory. All of our bodies need to be worked out. *get yer mind outta the gutter Alan*
