Erotic Literature in Mainstream Media

Whenever we come across it, maybe we could post the links here. Sooner or later, we're bound to see Lush Stories® mentioned in the media, if it hasn't already been there.

Here's an article I found about what they refer to as E-Reader Pornography, but the main point it brings up is that there's an erotic lit book that's currently the #1 download, even though you won't find it on the Bestseller lists.

By the way they talk, it looks like erotica is booming, especially with e-readers- so I guess Nicola knew what she was doing when she started this place up.GvzeJZeTcEZ7VGZV

One other interesting detail, they mentioned how male-oriented the audience was, at least for the one or two books they discuss in the article. I thought that erotic stories appealed to both sexes equally, what do you all think?

I set this site up because no other site offered what I wanted in an erotic writing community. It's not 1997 anymore, and people are turned off by elitist attitudes and cliques too. Not that I'm swiping at any site in particular Whistle

I'm new here, but have been a lurker for sometime. This site is so accessible compared to many others I have looked at and the people seem friendlier too, all of which helped me make the decision to sign up and take part. As for erotica in the mainstream, well I think it mostly caters to the lowest common denominator. That's why any time there is a mainstream film or book that strays even slightly off the beaten track, it gets a lot more attention than usual.

My perception is that men enjoy erotica more than women, but that could be simply down to comparing myself to the women I know. I don't exactly discuss it with everybody I meet though, male or female, so for all I know women are all closet Lushers.
