on the note of Gordon Lightfoot ....

Gordon Lightfoot is perhaps the most accomplished and well-known singer/songwriter to ever come out of Canada. He is internationally known for such monumental folk/pop/rock hits as "Sundown", "If You Could Read My Mind", "Early Mornin' Rain", "Wreck of The Edmund Fitzgerald" and many more. His songs have been covered by such music giants as Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan, Barbra Streisand, Glen Campbell and Don Williams.

Abundant affection and salutations to our wonderful neighbors north of our border in The Great White North. For serving with us in Iraq and Afghanistan, opening your doors to re-routed and stranded American airline passengers (among others) on Sept. 11th, landing alongside us on the beaches of Normandy, and all points in between and beyond, Americans are lucky beyond words to have one of the better and more benevolent nations of the world geographically along side us. May you prosper always.
