Well, I'm not sure you're being very fair in saying that Lushies don't have a sense of humour. I happen think I have a GREAT sense of humour and if I didn't think I had one before arriving here, I certainly have one now thanks to the stuff I've seen and read and heard and witnessed and experienced which has been nothing short of entertaining. You absolutely have to have a sense of humour if you have any chance of surviving on here with your dignity in tact.

Having said that, this IS a SEX site after all so YES, sex is on the brain for those of us who are members (including you) otherwise, they'd call it Facebook. And being such a sight, there are a wide variety of personalities clashing on here including profiles that get off on bullying others with dickish responses and those who seek out attention at any cost and everything in between. Seems a lot like real life if you ask me, wouldn't you agree?

I think if anything, perhaps it might behove YOU to have a sense of humour while visiting here. It makes for a much more pleasant experience that way.

Can you really blame people? Basically you're calling everyone on Lush a bunch of assholes that only care about sex. So much so that we don't have a sense of humor. There is lots of funny stuff on here. Some of these assholes are so fucking sarcastic and funny that it oozes off they profile pages and into their posts. Yeah, I'm looking at you CG! haha If you don't like the "all sex" stuff in the games forums, don't go there. There are entire sections strictly for humor. Although, if you would take the time to play in the word games section and/or get to know the people that frequent those sections you might become part of the humor and have a little fun.

I know lots of people here with a great sense of humor. But we took the time to engage each other and chat and let our humor come out naturally. Maybe you should try that approach. No one is going to be your little music box monkey and put on a show for you just to appease your need for laughter.

You can dismiss me as not having a sense of humor if you wish, I just didn't see this post as particularly funny.

As LM stated above, then I would suggest staying out of the games' forums. Visit almost any "Ask the Gals" post (pubes or no pubes and repetitive cock-length posts the best), and you will see the sharpest and fastest wit you'll find anywhere. There are some freaking hilarious people on Lush. I've laughed so hard I've had tears or spewed a beverage at my screen more times than I can count.

On the other hand, I've read a few of your posts and have never seen you say anything remotely funny. I mean I laughed, and sorta cringed as well, but not because you were trying to be funny. Your posts come off as rude, condescending, and a bit combative. This thread is a perfect example. Frankly, no fun at all.

Yea this is about the response I expected.Now that I have heard from all the guru's. Who are in fact for lack of A better word over seer's. Let me just say that I never said there was anything wrong with sex but that there is more to life than just that. A thought which only applies to me I guess. I never meant to give the impression I thought anyone was an asshole. But people seem to read things into other peoples statements. That are not there.In fact though it's your way of telling me what you think of me. That's fine with me, unlike you I believe you have A rite to your opinion. I feel as I have mentioned lush is the cause of this entire mess. They should just let me delete the post like the horrible Face book you have described. Okay, whatever your original post was, I never saw it. Not because I don't have a sense of humour, but because I don't see every topic that's started, I don't get the chance to read every single thing posted on Lush, nor would I want to. Usually, I look at topics that are scrolling in the timeline, ones that show on my feed because friends have posted there, or the last few posts which show on the forum home page.

With regard to people having sex on their minds, well, it IS an erotic stories site - that's pretty much why people cum here in the first place - to read about sex, to talk about sex. Of course, most of us, while still very much enjoying that aspect of things, soon get over that and cultivate friendships.

I never saw your original thread, I only saw the Sex, Sex, Sex one (you change your thread names and posts so much, it's hard to keep up and it's hard to know what you want or what you are trying to say)

Of course there's much more to life than sex! You should realise that there are parts of the forums, the games ones, which cater pretty much for people flirting and having fun - and they do, they really do.

There are other parts of the forums which are much more serious, you know this, I've seen you around in them.

I wish instead of being so negative and down, you'd lighten up. I bet you would actually start to feel more welcome and enjoy yourself...

Well, I'm sure you're right. In the 220,000 members here, no one has a sense of humor.

As has been pointed out already, if you go in the games section, you will find people playing games. Yeap, 34 pages in many responses are the same. But its all in fun, so I don't believe the participants, many of whom live outside lives and are not actually interested in fucking their neighbors at all.

Changing your posts and titles just because you didn't get the response you wanted comes across as rude and juvenile to later readers, even if this was not your intention. Perhaps a better response would be to leave the original posts the way they were, and make a further post explaining your stance? You might find this way of interacting with people better received.

Additionally, you might try breaking your text up into smaller paragraphs. This makes it much easier to read. I speak for myself when I say large blocks of text on the computer screen causes my eyes to cross smile

Hi Nightman,

Try not to get dissuaded if you get an initial influx of inside joking. It happens in threads sometimes. Inevitably someone will probably come along and steer the topic back on track and actually answer the question you posted.

Lush is like a microcosm of regular society, as Belle said. You'll clash with some, you'll roll your eyes at others. Don't let it get you down or take anything that gets said on the forums as the generalized Lush sentiment. They are just individual opinions and personalities. Not to mention that everyone has a different sense of humour. What one person finds funny, others might not.

There's lots of places where sex isn't on the forefront in the forums. The Think Tank is a good spot for this. There's Ask the Reader/Author if you're into stories. And many of the 'Relationship' forum sections deal with deeper issues than just your basic fuck-dilemmas.

Lush really is what you make of it.

Hope you stick around and post more. There's room for all kinds of personalities and opinions. smile
