Half an Ambien works.
As a chronic insomniac, I found listening to the sound of ocean waves helps me to sleep.

ANGER ISSUES

Everything that's pissed me off in recent months.
On a very rough night I'll dwell on everything that's pissed me off for the past few years.

Last night I just didn't sleep at all - the longer I was awake, the more and more angry I became over some various intense and screwed up shit in my life . . . and that anger grew until I had to find something to do with that pissy energy. I almost went to the gym to work out but that would have been stupid. I ultimately spend two hours scrubbing the entire bathroom. This afternoon I mowed the lawn even though it was over 100* outside. I'm an angry, bitter, resentful bitch these days.

I prefer it when sex thoughts keep me up but that muse abandoned me. . . which ticks me off.

if this isn't perfect, i don't know what is. lol may not help you sleep, but will at least give a chuckle while awake.

Say. Her. Name.

I feel like I have got days and nights mixed up.

Melatonin 10mg & Trazadone 150mg. If that doesn't work ....go to a chat room.

Melatonin 200mg didn't work. Trazadone 150mg didn't work. Insomnia seems to have a firm grasp on me most of the time. I hope you get a decent amount of sleep.
If you figure out a way to turn your brain off I'd love to hear it! Been trying to do that for years now and I can't even get it to dim noticeably!

I promise to let you know if I find a way if you promise to let me know. Although we'd probably be smarter if we do find a way to market it and make a fortune. Until then I'll keep my day job. But considering how frequently I suffer from insomnia I should find a night job.

I'm one of those people who can drop off to sleep anywhere, any time - and I frequently do. I've only suffered from insomnia a handful of times in my life and it was always stress related - exams, job interviews, post eventful day etc. nothing long term. I'm lucky. I'm a right grumpy cow if I don't get 8 hours a night so I can only imagine how it feels to have long periods of insomnia. You have my deepest sympathy.
Melatonin, an over the counter remedy. Or red wine. I like cabernet sauvignon. A small glass about 20-30 minutes before you hop in the sack.
I too take trazadone 150 mgs! It works quite well on the nights that I can sleep but no very well on the the nights that I can’t! Wait! What? I need sleep ?
a recent post in the pub made me remember something that i occasionally use for relaxation, and once in a blue moon for insomnia, are asmr videos. i decided that i couldn't best summarize what asmr videos are, so i added a link to an article and an example of one i use for sleep.

That did not help but I do appreciate that effort. I now can't get that noise out of my head, lol.

I may never wrap another present again.
