On this day in Marilyn’s history, July 8th, 1960. Marilyn Monroe made the costume and hair test for the film ”The Misfits.”
During this time, Marilyn’s hair had been damaged from frequent bleaching, so she needed to wear multiple wigs throughout the filming. All the wigs were designed by Sidney Guilaroff. The costumes were created by Jean Louis, while Marilyn’s makeup was applied by her close friend and favorite makeup artist, Allan ”Whitey” Snyder.

I have not seen a lot of Marilyn's movies but I absolutely love Some Like It Hot, though that probably has as much to do with Wilder being behind the camera as her in front of it. She's not really my type. Attractive but I am not really into the blonde bombshells when push comes to shove.
