Oh god, that's all we need, NZ closer to Australia. If anything, tow it in the opposite direction
Why is there such animosity between the two countries?
Uhm! Im fine! For anyone who wants to know...

And Uhm Rocco, to try and answer your question.

It has a lot to do with sport... I think... See I dont like the ausies or the kiwi's because of Rugby... They suck and the sprinboks rock!

Its like the whole sibling thing... but in the end, they really do love each other... I mean, both countries have more sheep than people! Both Countries have FUNNY accents, Both Countries now have men for PM. And really if Australia passes a knew law, then 10min later NZ passes the same law... (talk about copy cats)

Anyway, ill shut up now, I feel like im getting myself into a little bit of trouble
Just proves that Australia is the place to be . The land of the long white cloud can't compete with us so they just upped stumps and moved to be nearer too heaven. From an unbiased Aussie lol .
Aww.. and I heard that the Aussies where the ones not fighting...
Like the NZ's were complaining and the Aussies just shrugged. Seem to be the opposite.
And when I read the post, I did think of you necho.
Will you be shaken of your tree?
I'm a lover not a fighter . Would have scared me no end to be there when it happened glad to hear your fine necho
One joke sums up New Zealanders for me.

New Zealanders are well balanced people, they have a chip on both shoulders.
LoL Im more than fine, the quake was on the lowest point of the South Island, and Im on the Toppy point of the north Island. I honestly didnt even know it happend untill I saw the news.

Saddly Nicola, I must agree.

I have been in New Zealand for a year and half now and I havent met a Kiwi that I really really really like, male of female.
I'm hearing the Aussies have the most cases of the N1 flu, 15,000. Did you get it?
I hear everyone in the world will eventually get swine flu.

Normal flu kills more people than swine flu does, it's all blown out of proportion.

I've not been feeling well for about 4 weeks, I probably have it without realising.

As for Kiwis, people outside Aus / NZ / England will probably have no idea about the chip on their shoulders thing. To try and explain in brief, they give the impression they are "above" Australians (who beat them at everything), and at the same time, seem to resent the English.

My suggestion is to turn NZ into a theme park for Australians. Oh hang on, it more or less is already

It really has been blown out of proportion. My mum, brother and brother's friend had it and they were fine. Of course it effects people differently, but that's what the media likes to do --> scare people

Hmm as painfull as this is to write, you guys dont beat them at everything.
The All Blacks still kick some Wannabe butt...
Did the quake really move the 'Shakys' closer to Oz ? ?

it doesn't really matter.

Most of them are already here.
