Couples, now that you're attached/married, what do you miss the most from being single?
I don't really miss anything from my single days. I wasn't into random sex and being married hasn't changed my eating or sleeping habits.

I sometimes miss things from my non-parent days though, like spontaneity and peace and quiet!
I miss not having to discuss everything with someone else. He also likes to be bossy. Comes from being a Marine I guess.
Along the same lines of Chef...I miss not having to constantly explain everything all the time...where I'm at, what I'm doing...what time I'll be home etc etc

I've been doing it for most of my life. You'd think I'd be used to it.

I don't miss singleness either. Marriage hasn't changed my eating or sleeping habits, or affected who I fuck. I do, however, sometimes miss the freedom of not having children. They can, at times, be an anchor on the spontaneity in my life.
None of them, as hubby and I hit the sack whenever, and quite frankly, sex with him is the best I've ever known, so who cares about that? The only reason I can't eat whatever I want now has nothing to do with being married...pregnancy will do a number on THAT better than being married will...

I'll go with the having kids around again...went from two out of college contributing to society and paying taxes...to one in Middle School and one in HS. But every other weekend we get to hang from the chandelier and have wild Monkey sex!

nailed that one on the head Lisa. What is with the insightful answers? Are you some sort of hot guru?

I just miss the freedom from responsibility. When I was single, I could go anywhere, do whatever, eat whatever or whenever. Try coming home from a two-week camping trip to a wife that didn't know you were going away...

Why didn't you tell her or leave a note?

LOL @ ali...

I never actually did that. My point was... when I was single, I could do as I pleased. Didn't have to answer to nobody, wasn't responsible for a damn thing except to see to it that the rent was paid on time. Don't get me wrong - I'm happy being married. But the question was "What do you miss?" I miss the freedom of being able to take life one day at a time, only answerable to myself, nobody depending on me to be the breadwinner, the first-aid-giver, the house-fixer-upper, the CPR-knower, the dead-pet-bury-er...
Yes, Nudie, you have to take on a lot of roles when married. I know just what you mean.

I whole-heartedly agree... it's that whole 'having to justify where you are, what you're doing, and who you're doing it with' thing that just ticks me off!

Yeah! I agree with these comments too. Conversely, however, I also admit that I like to know where my Missus is off to - not so much to justify, but to make sure she is safe.
