You would not believe the big deal they're making of that over here.
Does that mean I don't get a free car?

What was that ridiculous scheme you guys had going on over there, cash for old cars or something? I read stories (not sure if they're true) of people importing dozens of cars and then scrapping them for profit under that scheme
Not sure what you're talking about, but whenever there is a slew of car thefts in FL. it is usually done due to that makes interest in Latin America and the Caribbean. The hot car is stolen, put aboard a ship overseas, and sold. Americans love their vehicles, and others love a bargain.

As for Oprah...good riddance. Although, I fear (truly cringing) that this might mean even more Oprah. What venue? Not sure yet.
She may have said goodbye to the show but now she has a whole new channel "OWN"
Hm, I wonder if Swedish television stopped broadcasting her shows since I stopped watching TV.
Anyhow, I think it's about time she had a channel of her own so she can be watched by her followers and let the rest of us be without.
She gave free cars to audience viewers didn't she? Maybe giving those cars to some poor working class people who really needed them would have earned her some respect from me. But paid audience viewers? Please!
Who is Oprah?

I'm not a big fan of Oprah, but I wish her the best.

Did you know that a majority of the people in the audience on those days actually were "working class people" and couldn't afford the taxes the government levied on said cars. Therefore they either had to refuse or pay the taxes or accept and immediately sell the cars

That's particularly why it's better to go for the cash on game shows.
I heard that she actually picked up the taxes when she heard about that. She's supposed to be big on philanthropy. Starting schools in Africa, charities, taking care of her friends and family monetarily etc. Who knows. Who cares?
Saint Oprah

Yes, the school was a great idea. However, to open such a thing in a country where humane treatment of other human beings is not quite a historically proven norm, is just self serving.

Honey, you got the cash, you got the idea. Now back it up, or shut the hell up.

BTW, Stedman? Please, just tell me truth and I would respect you a little more.
*snort* Right?
This is how I feel about Oprah and all the rest.
Who is Oprah?
I'll believe it when I see it she has her own freaking network lol
I have never watched her; don't like her image; don't care one whit about her; glad she is gone -

can't imagine anyone devoting time to watch her
She is the Miss Lonelyhearts for the daytime TV demographic. And if I'm not mistaken, is the only self-made female billionaire in America. Hats off to her for doing something no other American female has yet to do. /does not count Meg Whitman.
