Italian composer, orchestrator, conductor Ennio Morricone has died today as a result of injuries sustained during a fall.

Morricone is probably most known for his scores for spaghetti westerns. But personally I prefer his scores for '70s crime movies.

His work -Once Upon a Time in America- is a graveling accomplishment.
What a loss, I'm really upset but he leaves such a legacy.
Had completely forgotten that he scored De Palma's The Untouchables and Carpenter's The Thing. He's kind of stuck in my brain as the spaghetti Western guy, but such a long list of great scores and awards. Sad that he's gone but 91 years is a good long life and the creative output ... wow. Just four years ago (so 87) he won the Oscar for best original score for Tarantino's Hateful Eight.
My Dad was a fairly devout religiously, and he showed me and my siblings "The Mission" so we could understand things about Christianity.

I'll never forget that movie. More so, I'll never forget how great that soundtrack was.

"The Punished Nonpartisan" <- Extreme BDSM and humiliation story. Heavy on plot. Served on a plate of political drama with a side of domestic terror. Currently Free download.

Jocelyn the Wicked <- futanari, fantasy fan fic, and some tentacles that escaped the laboratory

Absolutely adore Gabriel's Oboe, from The Mission soundtrack (never seen the film though - its on a list somewhere) - especial featuring Yo-Yo Ma.
