RIP to three; David Bowie, Alan Rickman and now Glenn Frey

I'm so sad, I need to share my grief with others. Especially David Bowie and Glenn Frey. Icons of my generation and they will be sorely missed.

2016 is shaping up to be a very rough year so far. It is very sad to see the icons of a generation (or 2 or 3 in many cases) pass, and though there is much grief and sorrow, there is also the joy of being fortunate enough to have shared this time with them. They will indeed, though, be sorely missed.

R.I.P. Glenn Frey. Take it easy.

I was ONCE in a COVERS BAND called THE ILLEGAL EAGLES and, (unsurprisingly...) we did an EAGLES tribute show... (We were pretty good...)

One night, (I'm NOT making this up...) THE ACTUAL EAGLES were playing DUBLIN and WE were in some SHITHOLE country place GIGGING that same night... WE arrived BACK in Dublin at ALL HOURS in the early morning and myself and KIERAN, (the bass player) went to a LATE NIGHT MEMBER'S CLUB called Lillie's Bordello... We WERE STILL DRESSED in our stage clothes as we had a VERY LATE DRINK when we were APPROACHED by somebody (a journalist friend of ours...) who asked us if we'd move to the VIP area...

THERE WERE THE REAL FUCKING EAGLES!!! (*THE ACTUAL BAND...*) They bought us drinks and WERE THE COOLEST PEOPLE!!! (Timothy B Schmit was the coolest...)

YEARS LATER I'm in an ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS meeting in Molesworth Street in Dublin... Who walks in??? THE FUCKING EAGLES!!!!!!
