technical problems

Problem; The other day I was in a hot and heavy chat. It was almost at a final climax , when my Internet went out. The person that was chatting me was left high and dry.
A day later , when my provider got the problem fixed. My chat partner had dropped me as a friend. I didn't mean to lose this person as a friend. How do you handle a problem like this. HELP crybaby

Only thing I can think of is to PM them and explain and apologize.

Be warned every morning from about 7:45 am - 8:30 am Eastern Standard Time, Lush develops some serious problems. It may be overloaded. I don't know but it freezes up and kicks me off. I have to wait until after 8:30 am and log in again. I hate it because that is my best time to get on and catch up.

Unfortunately this is the time the server takes a backup, slowing the site down sufficiently enough to start causing timeouts.

This period of downtime will be history once I've finished the database rewrite.

Be patient folks, not long to go now.

The site is backed up daily so we don't lose anyone's data. It takes around half an hour on the current setup.

With the new setup it will take around a minute icon_smile

We hadn't expected to serve 20+ million pages so soon per month. Please bear with folks.

same problem here. Thought it was a problem locally. Good to know its not and it will be resolved

A small thing to endure twice a day. I'm probably asleep when one back-up fires off and I'm sure I can multitask through the other one.

Can't wait!! The daily backups coincide with my log in to get my first Lush fix for the day! If I can't log in immediately, tremors quickly develop.

I'll soon be attending the Lushnonymous meetings with Mazz! ;)
