I was in the act of clicking elsewhere on the screen just as your message appeared, so it instantly disappeared. By the time I looked this up in the FAQ, it was far too late:

Just wanted you to know, I was not ignoring you. Please try again, and may I suggest using the kind of message that ends up in my Inbox, where it can't disappear into the void?

It usually comes back if you navigate to a different page. But the site has been having a few hicccups here lately. Online messages can only be sent by your friends, so you might check with them and ask who sent it.
