People that try to finish my-

-sentences piss me off.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

People that hate what they don't really know.

Hate and even fear it Elizabeth! Look at how his accusers assumed
the threat of death would scare Socrates and found it didn't. They gave him the hemlock!

....to no end!
Food smells that permeate the air when I pull into the parking garage in the morning. Ugh. Even worse if they are burnt food smells.
Those pretentious wonders who strut around with their noses in the air constantly being judgmental, showing NO respect for anyone else yet believing that THEY should NOT ONLY be given that respect... in their weird minds they should be DEFFERED TOO! Those people and pretty much everything they say or do!
When people expect others to clean up after them..especially in the bathroom
my pet peeve is you can not be around your house outside naked
People who claim to always speak their mind, if that's really true then that's simple rudeness. We could all blurt out what's on our minds but what makes a good human being is the ability to take other people's feelings into consideration. Oscar Wilde put it better than I ever could with something along the lines of "those who claim to call a spade a spade are only fit to use one" when I see it on someone's profile I just wince

The funny thing is, in my profile I put 'I speak my mind and don't tolerate bullies'. Now, after learning several very important life lessons, I realize that those two go hand in hand. Although I would never intentionally attack someone that is just speaking their mind, (everyone has a right to his or her own opinion), but if they attack me or someone I care about I can go off the rails a bit...

When I clicked on this link to post a pet peeve, I was going to put "people that only want to argue instead of having an intelligent conversation."
Which remains a pet peeve of mine still, I try now to pull in the reigns when someone offends me.

"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and confirm it" is my new mantra.

I have three famous stories, 2 recommended reads and have come in the top ten in two competitions~ Come in and make yourself at home.

People that don't understand that NO means NO not maybe or we'll see. NO means NO

This is maybe my biggest pet peeve. Well, that and someone being late and making me wait for them. I don't know why it has to be a back and forth battle of "No, not today" and "you should, come on...here's some guilt and pressure.."

I should really qualify my statement as I do not wish to cause offence. I think the ability to speak ones mind is very important and indeed an admirable quality. The only issue I have is one that always speaks their mind. That shows an incredible lack of tact and compassion.

Oh and another pet peeve is those that pick fault in others personalities, thank you irony you are welcome ;)
People who stare at me, unless I'm staring at them.

Then again, they probably do so because I'm drop dead gorgeous.
When I wear glasses and my hair gets caught as I take them off. Ouch!!

No offense taken, I promise I found it ironic that I was there to complain about the same thing (which is really ironic! LOL!) and when I saw that, I went, GAH! That has to come off my profile. I am certain I know who that someone is that you were referring to so no worries. I never took offense to it. I totally agree with you though ;-)

Mini rant forthcoming: This has been bugging me for a long time, but, when people post a story or a poem here, AT LEAST SPELL WORDS IN THE TITLE AND TAG CORRECTLY! I can understand a typo or two in the body of a long work, especially - but when I see an obvious typo in the title or tag, I have a tough time looking any further.

Oh yeah...pet peeve...EH to tired to give a rats ass..
when members here have two profiles here or come back as someone else and get busted .. just own it ..and don't ever be mean ..

Probably one of the worst 'Pet Peeves' concerns politicians.

(ho Hum).

They promise everything before an election and when they are elected they fail to deliver.

(at least freshly brewed morning coffee is completely honest).

Yeah, I don't like adults who don't take no for an answer. At least kids are more teachable.
