The funny thing is, in my profile I put 'I speak my mind and don't tolerate bullies'. Now, after learning several very important life lessons, I realize that those two go hand in hand. Although I would never intentionally attack someone that is just speaking their mind, (everyone has a right to his or her own opinion), but if they attack me or someone I care about I can go off the rails a bit...
When I clicked on this link to post a pet peeve, I was going to put "people that only want to argue instead of having an intelligent conversation."
Which remains a pet peeve of mine still, I try now to pull in the reigns when someone offends me.
"Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and confirm it" is my new mantra.

I should really qualify my statement as I do not wish to cause offence. I think the ability to speak ones mind is very important and indeed an admirable quality. The only issue I have is one that always speaks their mind. That shows an incredible lack of tact and compassion.
Oh and another pet peeve is those that pick fault in others personalities, thank you irony you are welcome ;)
I found it ironic that I was there to complain about the same thing (which is really ironic! LOL!) and when I saw that, I went, GAH! That has to come off my profile. I am certain I know who that someone is that you were referring to so no worries. I never took offense to it. I totally agree with you though ;-)
