1. When you see someone in need of help, don't just stand by waiting for somebody else to help, help if you're able to.
2. Don't judge a person on first appearances. If a person you just met acted bitchy, don't write them off as that a-hole. They might be having a bad day. (If they do act like an a-hole in more than once, put them on your hit list)
3. We don't know as much as we think we do.
Don't spend time regretting the past. It is a waste of time. Rather, learn from them what you can and move on, trying not to repeat the same actions again.
To choose my battles.

That you can't truly depend upon anyone but yourself.

Despite having learned this lesson many times, I still choose to see the best in people.

I don't know if that makes me optimistic or dumb...

(probably a little of both)

I hear you Mazza. I act the very same way. Yes, probably a little of both but I also add loyalty to that which it makes me an optimistic dumb ass.

I have also learned not to give until you're asked.

If you do give freely without being asked for it, whatever you have given has little or no value.

Life is simple; we are what we eat and what we read. Talk is superfluous.
There are three:
Nothing is forever, so enjoy the good while it lasts, and when things are bad remind yourself that it will pass.

You do not always have to respond or show how smart you are. Sometimes the best thing you can do is just be quiet and listen. You learn so much that way.

A sense of humour will get you through almost anything.
You can't turn back the clock, make sure you the one you love knows how you feel

Don't let yourself get hurt or treated badly by anyone friends, best friends, boyfriends/girlfriends. If they hurt you they probably never cared about you anyways.
