I am not at all what you would consider a thrill seeker. I don’t enjoy skydiving, swimming with sharks, bungee jumping, or cheating on my taxes. But what I’ve always gotten a thrill from is being with someone new for the first time. Seeing one another naked for the first time, exploring our bodies for the first time, making each other cum for the first time. I think that is why I am so disillusioned with marriage because we are completely out of firsts, and there’s no thrill left in it for me. And neither of us are kinky enough to incorporate farm animals into the mix or install a trapeze in our bedroom just so we’ll have another first.

I have noticed from my experience. The older women are the less kinky they want to be. It's a shame but I find it hard to engage with a woman that has no imagination.

I've found the opposite, but the number of women I've been with since marriage is very small. But I've found that older women have lost their inhibitions and taken a "I don't give a damn" attitude towards more adventurous sex.

I think it can be different for different partners and situations.

For a new partner, there's the thrill of discovery, of seeing their body, finding out what turns them on, them finding out what turns you on. There could even be something completely new if the partner introduces something you have not experienced before, e.g. you've previously limited yourself to straight sex and you're trying a same sex partner for the first time.

Having regular sex with a longtime partner like a spouse, there's a thrill in sharing each other's pleasure and body, in the familiar acts that express your feelings for each other. You can still learn and try new things, of course, but the thrill comes from that moment when your eyes meet as you cum in/on them, not any novelty.

Experimenting with that same longtime partner (trying something radical in the bedroom, adding another partner or couple) can then let you experience novelty while still also having that thrill of knowing each other intimately. Kind of hits on both of the previous points.

But I don't think you need "thrills" or experimentation to have an interesting sex life with a longtime partner, just an interest in knowing and loving them deeply and intimately. My own sex life with my partner didn't die for lack of experimentation, we just kind of lost that spark plus health issues limited her interest.

And I first introduced Kate as a university student whose first time kind of sets the stage for her new story.

This is the key for me and my sexless marriage. We were never real adventurous but had a good sex life until she went through menopause and lost all interest in sex.
