Where do you get your music?

What sites do you guys use to download and burn music that are FREE? I currently use Limewire, but more often than not it keeps telling me that I am behind a firewall (I am tired of trying to find this damn firewall) and I am not able to use it. Any suggestions?

This is something I would like to know too...I cant seem to find anything for free and even limewire says it costs money. Guess I dont know all the tricks to get around that either.

I know one place where you can find a lot of music and listen for free. It's called playlist.com.

If you have Firefox I can tell you how "someone" can save the song you played from the site. PM me.

Hey Birdie I have never had to pay for Limewire! I have tons of songs downloaded already, its just this friggin firewall thing thats irritating me! I really like it, I am just tired of fussing with it.

I get my music from Frostwire. I used to use Limewire but too many of the songs were dodgy quality. I haven't had any problems with Frostwire yet.

I don't agree with robbing artists of their royalties.

I buy my music in a record shop. Call me old fashioned, but I like the whole process, listening to new tunes in the store, to actually have the cd, read the cover etc.

Or I just use the built in radio feature in Windows Media Player, works very well. Or head to youtube.

I listen online to music. On something called spotify, it's a music program that have very much music online and lets me listen to the artists I decide. I don't use the payed version, so I get some commersial thrown in at time.. I used to listen a lot on last.fm

If I want to burn music, I snatch it from my x's ftp. *grins* he have some TB with music.
Some artists lets you download their music for free on their websites. You might want to try and support them by downloading on their site if they do have that feature.

I know, I should feel bad about it, but I've been doing this all my life. Back in my younger days I used to record songs off the radio for mixed tapes and now I'm downloading them off the net. It's like an addiction, I tell ya!

Lately, I've been getting all my music from an approved-download techno music site. In fact, the whole site is for downloads because the DJs want you to hear their mixes. Same goes for the radio shows. All legal and cool. AllDJ.

I have used limewire as well and when I can't find what I want there, I use Shareaza. I have about 1500 songs in total

If I want anything... movies, books, music whatever... I got to http://www.utorrent.com/ and look it up.

It's free and very user-friendly (which I LOVE).

But I also like mininova too.

yup i would like to say thats why i download from amazon yet the real reason is i am too much a scarredy cat and i worry if i use limewire someone will give my computer a virus and then track my keystrokes, find my lush password and then post all sorts of things that make me look like even more of an ass than i already am. LOL i guess you could say i am paranoid.
