A few years ago I got the chance to meet Romeo Santos who is a famous Hispanic singer.

And then there were the remakes. In USA the remake was called Ugly Betty.
Spain also had a remake (I believe that earlier than the one in USA) and, even if I had no intention to watch it at all, I got addicted to it because it was really funny. Oh, I met a lot of the jazz greats during my days as a bartender in Bloomington, Indiana...if talking to them before and after they played constitutes 'meeting' them; Charles Mingus, Roland Kirk, Dizzy Gillespie, Eddie Harris, Maynard Ferguson, and some others. Also John Mellencamp and John Hiatt were local boys then who went on to do good nationally. I liked John Hiatt the better....great sense of humor and very low key.
