My Strange Addiction.. woman can't let her husband go

My Strange Addiction (Sundays, 10/9c, TLC) can be a hoot, but this is sad: 26-year-old Casie mourns her dead husband by carrying his urn with her virtually everywhere. But it doesn't stop there. In the clip below, she's preparing food for him. ("I cook what he likes. I don't eat it, but I cook for him.") She also confers with his urn on what channel to watch. Finally, she's taken to eating his ashes.

It seems as though they've saved the strangest of the strange addictions for last — Casie's story is part of the Season 2 finale.

What say you my fellow Lushies?

I have never seen this show, but I sincerely hope that this woman is receiving counseling.
MMMMM, ashy!

How come she didn't smoke her hubby's ashes? I would

I'm practically salivating over here.
I saw part of this yesterday (I didn't have control of the remote) and wanted to vomit as she described licking her finger and then swirling it in the ashes to make sure she got a big scoop to eat!! *retch* Very disturbing. I felt sorry for her. This also explains why I watch very little television.

I did see that it mentioned approximately 8 different chemicals that were used for embalming, which could cause, I think, hallucinogenic effects if ingested. Would those chemicals still be potent if the body was cremated? Vaguely curious at best about this.
OK , I haven't seen tha show, but it sounds as though her grief is mixed with a condition called Pica - which is common during pregnancy and in childhod, where the person desires, and does crave and eat apparebtly indigestible things:

Of course, it could just be her grief, but I agree, it sounds like this woman needs help...

Very sad indeed

I think the question that begs to be asked here is this...

What kind of wine do you serve with ashes anyway?

For Pete's sake, nothing dry that's for sure!!!! Hmmm, something with a full body? Oak or stainless steel...barrel that is???

Mazz, I think you're right about counseling. She actually started it because she "spilled him" and didn't want to wipe the ashes up. sad
I posted a joke like this about a week ago in the humor section. I guess like the joke she just wants him to tear up her ass one last time!
The decisions we make dictate the life we have.
Follow your dreams, for those that do not will only try to discourage others.
Very crude there KP, but I did laugh (cheers).

I don't watch much TV but I do watch Talk Soup. Didn't see this one being laughed at but did see one about a grown woman who wears diapers (same addiction show). She wears them as one would undergarments, and yes, she "uses" them. The last note by the announcer was...

"...she has not been able to keep a steady relationship."
That is nearly as fcking sick as the recent report out of South Korea...about what some Chinese pharmaceutical companies are allegedly doing.

It's so pornographic and sick I hesitate to even post the link. So, I won't...you can google it yourself. Chinese dead pills 2011 should bring up a few pages of icky links.
The same GQP demanding we move on from January 6th, 2021 is still doing audits of the November 3rd, 2020 election.
