As LMB will attest, Im a golf whore. Cant wait til next week. Couple of early nights, up early and late to work. Off to Houston this week. Not sure of Tiger is on the backup. Some will bypass and rest while others not yet qualified will try to make the field for The Masters.

Oh I personally think green looks good on Tiger, mix in his Sunday reds...it's like Christmas in April! Whoo hoo!

As for your snarky little comment about Canadian's not being able to say y'all you can just stuff it LMB! Screw you and the horse you rode in on! We can do what we want to you know! We are so tired about being bullied around by you damned Americans! Arrgghh!!

I don't think Tiger is ready to win major again just yet.

And Dudealicious if it snows at Augusta national and a moose shows up, I'm blaming it on a Canadian conspiracy! Don't be trampling on our azaleas! We'll retaliate by letting armadillos loose in Ottowa!

Bubba Watson or Phil Mickelson!

Buz I appreciate the fact you know a little about Canada, however there is no way in hell Armadillo's will last a night up here LOL!

I am a lefty as well and would love to see either Phil or Bubba win, however I am sure it will be Tiger.....just sayin'

I guess Dude you could use that one armadillo as a model for a 'snowarmadillo.'

I learned all about Canada from that movie "Canadian Bacon" and watching Dudley Do-Right cartoons.

(okay I know you don't believe that! — but y'all keep stealing our hockey team, just when I almost have figured out the rules. Bye Bye Thrashers! To tell you the truth I wasn't around yet when y'all made off with the Flames. You do know they should at least change the names of the teams. The Flames were named for Atlanta rebirth after being burned to the ground in the War Between the States. The Thrashers, well, that is the state bird of Georgia.)

Oh well despite snatching our hockey teams away from us, y'all are welcome to come down and visit for The Master's and we'll make some nice hot grits for you.

....I still haven't figured out hockey. I do like any sport that requires a helmet and pads and players beat the hell out of each other though.

PS. Dudealicious, I know that the Canadians assaulted and took Juno Beach from the Nazis in the D-Day Invasion and that Canada gained independence from Britain on July 1, 1867, though y'all did stay in the Commonwealth. I guess that after 1783 the Brits learned that granting independence to colonies went much easier if done without having to fight a war.

Carry on neighbor!

I learned all about Canada when I watched the movie "Strange Brew". Great movie, eh.

There's a very good article on about Augusta National and it's newly developed conundrum about women members. Becoming a member or Augusta has always been difficult to obtain. And it all so secretive. No one even knows what it costs to be a member. Women have never been allowed membership. But as I just learned, women ARE allowed to play at A.N., they can play as guests of members. And wives are allowed to play. They've just never been granted membership rights.

A long standing tradition is that the CEO of IBM is ALWAYS offered a membership to the club. IBM has just named a woman as their CEO. Which tradition will Augusta National honor? Here's the link to the article...

I just heard that last night. It is the long standing tradition that ALL of the major of endorsers/sponsors have a free membership (that's what I heard, anyways) so it's not just IBM, .... so it appears Augusta will be dragged into the new millenium.

Membership

Augusta National Golf Club has about 300 members at any given time. Membership is strictly by invitation; there is no application process. It is believed that annual dues are low (less than $10,000 per year) given that profits from the Masters broadcast likely sustain the club.
Amid much criticism of exclusive and discriminatory admissions, Augusta accepted an African-American member in 1990.

In 2004, USA Today published a list of all the current members of Augusta National.

Notable current members include:
Bill Gates, co-founder and chairman of Microsoft
Warren Buffett, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway
Jack Welch, former CEO of General Electric[
Pete Coors, former chairman and CEO of Coors Brewing Company, current Chairman of Molson Coors Brewing Company & MillerCoors.
James D. Robinson III, former CEO of American Express
Harold "Red" Poling, former CEO of the Ford Motor Company
Carl Sanders, former Governor of Georgia
Sam Nunn, former United States Senator from Georgia
Lynn Swann, former NFL player
Pat Haden, former NFL player and current athletic director at the University of Southern California
My boy TDub will win it! He can hit big draws off the tee box and high fades into the greens. A must at a Augusta if you want a chance to win. His putting is still suspect though, but he loves the fast greens. If he can avoid the 3 putts, I can't see him NOT Winning.
I predict I will be watching, as much as I can.
I'm not hoping for Keegan Bradly but he might be a real contender in this one.

sex is like a joke...it's only good if you get it

Par three tournament today! First started in 1960 it is still a crowd favorite today.

Tomorrow kicks off the "official tournament" some interesting pairings I must say, even the Walrus is playing!

Trevor Immelman - Rickie Fowler - Justin Rose

Tiger Woods - Miguel Jimenez - Sang Moon Bae

Luke Donald - Nick Watney - Francesco Molinari

Vijay Singh - Lee Westwood - Jim Furyk

Angel Cabrera - Rory McIlroy - Bubba Watson

Phil Mickelson - Hunter Mahan - Peter Hanson

Can't wait to see Arnie, Nicklaus and Player start it all oof.....Until then I will be glued to whichever TV I can get in front of today to watch the par 3.

Happy watching all, and yeah I still think Tiger's going to win!

NO FLOWERS!!!!!

The unusually warm winter and early spring sent all the azalea bushes and dogwood trees into an early bloom period and now most of them have already lost their blooms before The Masters got underway.

So folks! It ain't gonna look as pretty on TV this year!

I look forward to Friday afternoon when I arrive in Augusta!!!!!!

No Azaleas, No Dogwoods!! Snoozefest!! HAHA!! Think Ill watch Caddyshack instead!!

But seriously, hope all you golf fanatics enjoy watching it!! Do they normally play this on Easter Sunday? Seems kind of a strange day to play something as big as this.
Lefty is in the mix. He may get another green jacket.

Wow, what a finish. Well done to Bubba. How could you not be emotional for the guy. Wears his heart on his sleeve. Great scenes.
The 3 guys that I picked to have a shot to win all had their shot. I picked Bubba, Lefty, and Lee Westwood. Bubba won and Phil and Lee were in the tie for 3rd! I should have bought a lottery ticket that day.

Yes Mister you should have, your picks were pretty dead on!

As SydneySider had mentioned - the way Bubba broke down after her won really tugged at the heart strings. To think he had the mental toughness not only to win the Masters that week, but also had left his wife to give birth to their first baby! Talk about being "all there" - I like Bubba a lot, especially seeing as he is a left-handed golfer like me.

That snap hook he hit on the secong playoff hole to get to the green was pure genius - I am not sure too many other players have that shot in their repitoire.

Congrats Bubba you deserve it!

Bubba seems like a really really good guy. Before the tournament I saw in on David Feherty's show on Golf Channel. A full show talking to Bubba. It was very good. He's a devout Christian and is totally in love with his wife. Almost dependantly so. His new baby is adopted, I don't think his wife can have kids. The interview was very interesting. Even talked about all the controversy he stirred up on his only European Tour tournament. Feherty, who is European, understood and was sympathetic after hearing the whole story. Oh yea, Bubba also bought the original General Lee. He is as southern as the come. lol

Yea, that fucking shot he hit will go down in Masters lore forever. He and maybe Mickelson are the only two golfers who could have envisioned, let alone attempted that shot.

Here's his video that Bubba and the Golf Boys did for charity. Bubba, Rickie Fowler, Hunter Mahan, and Ben Crane. It's hilarious. I love Bubba's overalls, no shirt and no shoes southern boy outfit. Hilarious.

Go Dawg!!!! I had a the best time ever at Augusta and with my fellow UGA alumni, Bubba Watson, winning The Masters, it was the best one ever! Go Bubba Watson you Georgia Bulldog, Masters Champion!!!!! I bet Billy Payne, chairman of Augusta National, UGA alumni & former UGA Bulldog football player, was just as pleased as I was to have a Dawg win it all!
