Like I said the other day, we're way past 1984!
Just what we need something new to have to buy some kind of removal software for.
Anti-virus and anti-malware are doing such a good job, the hackers are on to something else.
This just proves that the entire world is more interested in what someone else is doing than their own freakin life. What a bunch of losers....and that is creepy as hell.
Creepy, sure, but really, how widespread is this? Probably not very. It's typical media fearmongering to make it seem like a HUGE problem that everybody needs to worry about. Seriously, "take out the battery"? Give me a break. If you have reason to be concerned anyway, then maybe take some extra precautions with your phone. Anybody who leaves their phone just lying around anyway is asking to have it stolen or used for a quick but expensive call to Tuvalu. Just be halfway intelligent about it and keep your phone in your pocket or your purse, which you wouldn't leave lying around. This story makes it seem like every other phone is tapped, which is just BS. Does it happen? Sure. But it isn't a common problem, like this story seems to try and make it.
I have a file on their computer where I used to save my homework (was 17 at the time) and I saw one called text messages, and couldn't remember what they file was. So I opened and saw the list of texts. They thought I was up to much more than I was. I had an older boyfriend which worried them, other than that I didn't get up to much that they have worried about. However, they thought I was taking drugs and sleeping with half of England
I have lived without a cell phone for 12 years
its bleedin amazing... you can survive without one ...
