Whilst any version of a Christmas carol is technically a cover, I do like this although there are very many awesome versions of 'Oh Holy Night' it is impossible to choose a favourite.

Roy Orbison's original is superb ... as is Linda Ronstadt's cover.

Many artists have covered this original by John Henry Kurtz. Dobie Gray did an excellent and smooth rendition, but I just like the Stones style better.

This was recorded in November 1973 for their album "It's Only Rock and Roll" and not included in favor of Ain't Too Proud to Beg and never released.

This song was written by a man to be sung by a man yet Joan Baez does a wonderful rendition of the original by The Band. It's hard to choose whose voice I like better singing this, hers or Levon Helms.

I liked the song "Under My Thumb" but the Rolling Stones until I heard a cover done by the Canadian band Streetheart and I Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so much more better and it's among my long list of favorites lol smile
