I know I'm only new here, so its probably not my place to say, but I'm going to say it anyway. Maybe its just me, but I get a little tired of reading threads in either "Ask the Girls" or "Guys" and people just don't pay attention to what category they are posting in (some of you are serial offenders). Half the time, I don't even look at the name of the person posting, I just like to read what they have to say. Then I double back only to realise that a dude has written what I just read in the girls section, and what a let down. Maybe I'm becoming a little intolerable in my old age, but it would be nice if the guys can avoid answering questions proposed to the girls and vice versa. I think its a simple request as the two cats are divided for good reason. We're not trying to split atoms here.
Rant over
D
:slowly raises hand:
I am one who posts in both guys and girls threads. Sometimes I like to give answers to both sexes.
honestly, it bothers me too. i mean, if i post in the 'ask the guys' section, i really don't want another female's perspective on it. if i wanted her opinion, i would have posted it in the 'ask the gals' section.
I dont like ranting, but sometimes there is no other way to feel better. I wonder if there is a "Rant" thread where you can air your frustrations on the world. Bitch about that dickhead who cut you off changing lanes etc...would be great therapy..
I say remove the division... lets create a unique category -- " ask a question" then we wont have this problem anymore...
I agree with you SydneySider, it would be better if the correct gender only answered the questions directed at them, as per the original plan.
The reality is though, people seem to answer any questions about anything, regardless of who the question was originally aimed at, if it's of interest to them. Human nature I guess.
If I see a question that I feel compelled to answer, I'll answer it. I generally don't look at what section it's in because, first and foremost, I'm too darn lazy, second I'm a rebel without a clue. Both of them add up to someone who posts willy-nilly.
