This is for Z and Chase.

I hope it's true.
Our country has problems, but there is nowhere I would want to live.
Except down under. Maybe New Zeland.

God Bless the USA

Batman
Shakes muh head. Here we go again.
18 people viewed it and no can stand together but cartoon people in the end.

Shame on you all. Differance makes this country. Living together with those, makes us stronger.

I am disappointed.

G.B.A. - God Bless America - and ALL it's people

I thought it was really amusing, although the airline product placement kind of ruined it for me.

I'm just a displaced Brit, so I can't really comment!
LMAO!!!....Because I can say whatever I want that is why I love the country I was born in......and yes God Bless American Bat.......
"Love all, trust a few, and do wrong to none."
Bat,

Can't view the vid at this point. Perhaps later tonite I can at a different location....

Z - my comment is this. The founding fathers, and those who have led in the past made that free speech possible. Let's see (Fairness Doctrine and recent examples of stifling of dissent) how well that freedom survives the next couple of years.

Ever hopeful, but guardedly pessimistic and watchful, as everyone should be.
good one BatDude
Easy for you to say, Z. You can look half as good as the avatar (though I would bet half isn't the whole of it.....ooooh, now I am confusing myself) and stand up, and you will have instant "crowd."

As curious as I am as to know why you are so sure our freedoms are at risk with Obama taking office soon, I'd like to see us give politics a rest here.

See my post on the story of the pessimist and the optimist...

Well aren't you a sweet Republican....lol.....

wait is that an oxymoron?......heh heh....
"Love all, trust a few, and do wrong to none."
Z, when a Republican loses an election, or has come to the end of his road, scandal and such, they more often than not respectfully resign, and take their properly mandated place - not giving up, but respecting the mores, wishes and votes of the people.

Unlike the Prop 8 soreheads (they got their civil rights years ago - now they just want to obliterate any line or organization in any authority who looks askance at their doings and while tolerated, they want all sourcs of condemnation razed) who think their Hollywood-related, California-style lifestyle should be forced on the majority, who rejected it, I can stand aside in the aura of your style and poise and charms until the next opportunity...

wait...you mean heterosexuals were going to be forced into gay marriages?? what an outrage!

Oh....no they just wanted the same rights to be miserable as straight folks are....only instead of marriages of convenience, sham, and 'for the kids', they just want to be happy together, and without a societal asterisk. And before someone throws out the 'redefining marriage' counterpoint, remember that had we not 'redefined marriage' radically already, I wouldn't have been able to marry a white or black man well into the 1960s in certain states.

Sorry techgoddess, i know you're trying to curb the politics...but I saw a little red with this last comment.

Lia
Heh heh....what goes around, comes around. I gave Tech a noogie over the sudden gender change in her optimist story, and Lia is giving me a wedgie back. All's fair in....ah....hmmmmm...between roomies?

I know Lia knew I did not mean forcing heterosexuals into that - but I did not word that correctly. They want what they want, and damn democratic principles when they don't get it.

I found a comment in a news article telling today. Some gay-activist lawyer was quoted at the end of an article that it will come, as history has always gone their way. Very insightful and the first time I have noted a liberal examining history. Yep, the country has been great for 230+ years, on the rise, affluent, powerful....and at what might be the pinnacle, we could be teetering on an edge. The slope is gentle, but the slipping can lead to dangers, so like Rome....and with exactly the same kind of forces at the helm. Affluence, pride, debauchery, the great cycles of history are ever in motion - and eventually all protection safeguard the innocent, the children, will be swept aside.

Don't get me wrong Lia, 95% of homosexual people are pleasant, hard-working, productive, private and respectful. It is the activist minority and their clever twisting of words (support of Prop 8 was 'mean spirited' - I am sure the person quoted believed that too) and their drive to have their cake and eat it too that so many do not see and are caught up in the groundswell of what seems only compassionate and fair. No conspiracy theory to it. It is historical fact, the same cycles in prior civilizations, torn asunder, from the inside. We are no smarter really, differently wired, or above the human tendencies of our forebears. We do have their history, and a greater perspective. Unfortunately, we choose, or allow ourselves, in our pride, to think "No, not us! Not this time. We are different, better...." And we still could be....

I am reminded of Michael Crichton's passing and our brief discussion of his keen understanding and creative efforts to demonstrate both advantages and dangers of technologies, and particularly the cloaking of self-serving intent of the few in attractive covers that induce so many to be misled. I am referring to his last (?) book, "State of Fear" and the group-thinking and bandwagon enthusiasm to support perhaps well-meaning efforts that really are devised to suit the twisted or self-serving manipulators.

Now, if the two lovely, passionate and intelligent ladies from the heartland want to continue to double-team me, are there some official rules of which I should be apprised? I think Zafia has chosen the Obama "Yes We Can" (in black and blue in deference to da' Bears) t-shirt as her official uniform...Lia is probably sticking with the force field-weakening red bikini....I guess I need to order up my NRA "Yes 'We' Did......and Now What?" hoodie, in what, forest green? I am thinking it best not to get the one with the big bullseye applique on the back....
Now I live in California. I voted "NO" on Prop 8. I think everyone has the right to get married, straight or gay. To tell someone that they cannot get married cause of their sexual orientation, is wrong. Whatever happen to equal rights for everyone. People say it's in the Bible, that man can only married a woman. Well guess what, people wrote the Bible GOD did not. So let them get married. It should be their choice., not the government. Sorry, people. Let's talk SEX not POLITICS from now on. SEX SEX SEX SEX

Too much...too much....

You have too much time on your hands that allows you to come up with such clever, graphic (hilarious) retorts.

Us conservatives must work harder....(?)

Encouraging cunnilingus? All you have to do is ask, Doll.
OMG Zafia, you should win a prize for that post!

As for you Rocco, we all know you're a cunning linguist
