That's so rude! People put a lot of time and effort into writing their stories and poems.
The very least you could do is leave a score, even if you can't be bothered to write a comment. Writers do like to know what people think, whether they're getting ir right or wrong and comments mean a lot.
.

It would be great if that were the case and i agree that the least a person could do is comment or rate but he is soooo not the only person who doesn't my story has 1600+ views, only 10 votes and like 4 comments so really singling him out is not necessary there are at least another 1,590+ people who do the exact same thing.

I didn't single him out, he said himself that he couldn't be bothered commenting or voting - that's what I addressed and since this whole thread seems to be about him anyway then who else am I going to be talking about?

no need to be angry i was just stating a fact. i must have skimmed over the part where he said he couldn't be bothered as my head was probabky hurting ;) no hard feelings i hope

i'm about to play the blame game now and say that she (feeling good) started it by reprimanding the guy for doing something thousands of other people do. in my mind i was respectful in my reminding her that it is unreasonable to yell at this guy for that one specific thing. i thought i would stand up for him a little since i have been on the receiving end of the hurtful attacks many a time.

yes i think it is ok for me to post without perfect grammar in a casual forum if our founding fathers didn't have to in a document that changed the world. i don't think it is to much to ask that this grammar holocaust thing start to fade away. for crying out loud this is a casual place for people to chill not to worry about every period and comma and where exactly it must go. if you can;t read my posts than don't and then if you don't then don't attack me for my grammar. as i have stated before i come here to unwind after a day of making sure everything i do is calculated and perfect.

The night that changed my life, a four part series of a married man lusting after his co-worker

It's not a big thing to ask that forum members post things that are

a) Polite and respectful
and
b) Understandable/readable

You cannot blame someone for taking offence where it wasn't intended, because like it or not offence was caused. People have different value systems and sensitivities, you cannot just expect them to have the same values as you.

You cannot blame a reader for not being able to read what you have written, because language is a common system of communication and we must all play by the same rules. To consider those rules unnecessary is to welcome chaos.

We must all own our own communication and be responsible for the effects it has.

Now let's calm this thread down, offer our welcome and opinions without letting judgement and name calling get the better of us. Let's take jokes for what they are and try not to take every comment as a personal attack.

Ahem, Bigguns, can I just point out that you seem to change your opinion just about every time you've posted on this thread?

One minute you're agreeing with other people's posts and the next your mind seems to have shifted in another direction. I tell you, if I were a cynical person, I might just think that you were trying to cause trouble here!!

But of course I don't think that - You did say that you had skimmed over parts of what had been written and I am sure that your head is so full of medical terminology, anatomy etc etc that maybe you forgot (Am I right in thinking that you're studying medicine?)

I don't think that FeelingGood said anything out of turn and in fact much the same things have been said by others in this thread, but I don't see you mentioning their names, does that mean that you are in fact singling her out? Just a thought.

In fairness, the guy initially asked for help/opinions and that's what he got. True, some may have been cheekier than others, some more helpful than others, but you should know as well as anyone that this is the way it works, here, on Lush. You post a forum topic and you open yourself up to whatever comes next...

Oh and quoting the founding fathers for their run-on sentence is just lame. That was way back when, language has evolved since then. You must have been taught the necessary language skills in school - I'm fairly certain that English would be an entrance requirement for medical school/university. It's just lazy typing!!

You do like a wee bit of an argument, don't you, Bigguns?

I don't know how you got 'angry' from what I wrote. I was just making a point!

Why try to drop me in it???

I never said anything that anyone else didn't? Not much of a gentleman, are you?

yes i am studying medicine (tropical medicine to be exact natural remedies and stuff. won't be working too closely with patients so my powerful ego shouldn't get in the way too too much.) personally i thought it was clever to put the thomas jefferson said: quote in smile but you are 100% right about language evolving and, as a matter of fact about everything you said in the above post. i do type lazily as i have said, after long days. i do too like a good debate (maybe a little to much ) and the reason i singled out feelgood was because she is the person i was initially addressing when dude posted in reply to me but that was way back at the start of this thread. so yeah mazza you score a 100% for accuracy in profiling me way to go! lol
@ bigguns This is not even remotely funny anymore - Just more work for the admin.

Doesn't this then say to you that maybe you need to take a break or approach the forums in a different manner?

I know I need a break from this. You cannot post defamatory post, then get all apologetic and expect everyone to forgive you. Unless that is not your attention, and you are doing this just for fun??? If that IS the case, congratulations on spoiling Lush for so many people.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. That is exactly what I was thinking.
my intention was never to create more work for the admins or spoil the fun for people myself and many people on here do not see eye to eye and that is fine with me. lush is a place full of strong personalities and i am one of those. it happens that i am one against many with most of my opinions i am not trying to be humorous or inflammatory. however, i am sometimes both. i never asked for forgiveness but i am also not going to refuse to apologize when i am in the wrong. many of you are wiser than me and i respect you even if it doesn't come across very readily.

I lack confidence, its an issue I'm dealing with. I'm not that handsome (not super ugly either), I'm not really muscular, I'm not fun per say, I sacrificed my freedom at a young age to help with my career. I haven't been to many parties or clubs. I work. Alot. I hardly have time to do anything anymore. I get up, go to work, come home, bathe, do my usual duties and sleep. On weekends I do private jobs, so its basically the same thing everyday.

**SIGH** I'm permanently exhausted and get migraines. I'm stressed out most of the time.........I need a beer. OOOHH I dont drink (at least not often). I know what you're thinking, 'What kind of person is stressed and doesnt drink?' Answer; Me. If you want to know more, inbox me, chat me up, leave wall posts or something.

lifeafterdeaht u should have chosen workalot as that what it's going to take.
i suggest u drink the beer and chill
