I am home after a party with friends. Lots of hot local foods. Hot as in chili.

It is 48 minutes past midnight, January 1, 2010 in the "Land of Enchantment" and all is well. I live in the American Southwest in the state of New Mexico. There is a tradition, illegal as hell, where at midnight people go out and shoot off firearms.This year was no exception. I am just thankful their numbers are few.

There was a blue moon today, I watched it rise on the northern edge of Sandia Mountain from out on the West Mesa. It was reddish in color. I don't wonder, I know why the American Artist Georgia O'Keeffe came here and created great works of art.

Nine twenty seven p.m. in the pacific northwest U.S. Rainy day, quel surprise. Saw "Nine" today. WOW. A visual feast. Awesome story telling. Cinematography, photography, scene treatment.
