The choice was: love them or leave them.

If a man is with a woman who either comes out of the closet as a Lesbian or it becomes readily apparent that she is one, he will probably leave her.

If two lesbians are together, they won't stay together for life, statistically speaking. I do concede that one can love them, then leave them, in successive order. I suppose that was somewhat unclear.
