Ok, I admit it - I saw the Osmonds tonight, and they were still brilliant after all these years!

Through their music, they evoked passionate memories of my pubescent years. A very happy time in my own life and a key stage I have the pleasure (and pain?) to watch in my own kids' lives right now.

If you are old enough (!) what makes you remember your pubescent years, and why ?

I think this song describes teenage angst pretty well and as a teenager, I was pretty angsty and rebellious (as we all were, I guess) and I think it also describes every teenagers dream. I was never really that popular with the ladies, but this song always gave me hope (that's really fucking sad, isn't it?)

What does it for me, tho, are John Hughes movies. Nothing says 80's teenager like his movies! He was awesome!

One of the many things that makes me think of my pubescent years is a bag of pot/weed/mary jane/canabis/marijuana. I could always get it for free. Never had to worry about a piss test and it wasn't so strong that I would be catatonic for hours. And I would laugh so hard my cheeks and sides hurt.
