Being Top Dog for the week and for the season are both 'firsts' for me. It may be short-lived, but I will take what I can get...lol
The Almighty Space Potato
Jacksonville are letting me down :/ When I watched them play in London (The only time I could as it was on at a reasonable hour instead of 1am) we had 2 good plays, the opening kick off and the touchdown pass. Other than that, not one player on that field looked remotely interested. I know it's hard when you're 0-8 but show some compassion and play to win. The talent is there, the motivation isn't.
Jax was bought by a new owner last year and I think he wants to move the team to a bigger market. The low attendance and lack of interest within their market area will give him support with the NFL to approve the move . I say 'Yay" because they claimed Orlando as their area and bump the Dolphin games on TV.
*sigh* didn't see this in time...
Y'all can have fun this year, but next year I'll come take the title.
Currently in 3 leagues, (2 standard drafts, 1 auction) and in 1st place in all 3.
9-0 in one league, 8-1 and 7-2 in the others.
Have fun this year and I'll hopefully see you next year.
im hoping this past bye week help my team the Dallas Cowboys
Uh-Oh...I think fucked up again! All of today's games, Thursday 11/28, are showing 'Off' for the point spread.
I got 2/3 based on yesterday's spreads, but 0/3 going straight up. (Off) I'm going to be pissed if they wipe out the games, but I guess it's better than going 0/3.
The point spread has an effect on the DAL-OAK & BAL-PIT games. Detroit was a winner no matter which way it is scored. The majority of us picked Oak +9, and I did so because of the points. With my picks I wind up 2/1 no matter which way it is scored. But for some it makes a a big difference. I think it shoud be scored with the spread in effect as the final wasn't posted at gametime, but it was fairly steady Mon, Tues, & Wed. In my opinion the winners should be Det, OAK & Pit. And if not that, then none of the games should count.
The Falcons sucked a dried up rubber tit all year. Completely useless. I couldn't give tickets away. Now the owner Arthur Blank is getting help from the tax payers to build a billion-dollar-plus super stadium with a retractable roof. Actually it's some damn cool architecture and the roof opens like a camera lens shutter, but this franchise has only played in one ever Super Bowl and they lost that one. They need to sell a better product to the fans rather than rook the taxpayers into helping them build a state-of-the art stadium.
By the way, the Georgia Dome, which just turned 20 years old, is slated to be torn down so they can build this new one.
Let me add, the Atlanta Braves baseball team are ditching the 17 tear old Ted Turner Stadium and escaping to the suburbs to build a new stadium. They've rooked Cobb County to help them pay for that. The taxpaying citizens are up in arms. The county commissioners turned a blind eye. It makes you wonder if kick backs are coming their way doesn't it? Two other Metro Atlanta suburban counties just sent commissioners to prison for doing such.
Dear Santa, What Jerry Jones, Stephen Jones, Jason Garrett and I ALL want for Christmas is...A DEFENSE!
