Big Bertha has been cleaned, rinsed, and refilled, and is ready.

Today we're using Dark 'N Stormy Coffee blend fro, Carib Coffee Roasters, just because.

I've put out donuts.

Plus I've got some almond croissants for everybody.

Kat has the latest Grace & Mac story out. I've only just started to read it, but it looks like yet another corker from the Kat!

Good morning. How's things? Back to polar bear weather here though it looks like it will be brief. Ground is white again.

Not much happening around here. Have a longer story on the go for SS and a draft stewing for here. So there might be a new ape story somewhere in April.

Wish I could say the same for the Blue Jays. About the only things we can look forward to (?!) is the loss of Vlad Guerro, Bo Bichette (who, IMHO, is actually a better all-around player), and the firing of the President and CEO of the Blue Jays by the owner.

Good morning Rumpies. It’s a beautiful chilly day here in Jersey. Been busy with my not so littley. She just had a hard comp weekend and is preparing for her play next week and auditions for next years comp team at dance. Then she is also singing a solo at church. She keeps me so busy. Comp weekend was hard on our girls as they learned the unfairness that can happen in this industry. It was rough seeing so many of our girls leave in tears because of something beyond anyone’s control. (They were all scored low because of having a sick dancer who was unable to perform) Everyone will say that’s not how it went down but we know it in our hearts. Our girls danced their hearts out and mostly got the lowest scores. Now I know they are worried about nationals as this is the same competition we use for that. I’ll take some tea please. Hugs for all. 💜

Tonya - Boy, I remember those days so well. Comp weekends were always so stressful. I remember how my girl cried and cried when all her friends' solos scored platinum, and she scored gold. The saddest part was that the judges really didn't have much in the way of constructive criticism. Turns out, none of the judges had any real tap background, and her solo was tap. The joke was on them because when some choreographers from NY saw a video of her performance, they invited her to come and dance in a showcase on Broadway. I don't miss the stress, but I do miss seeing my girl on stage. She will always be my littlely, even if she is getting married this year!

I will be doing my video review just as soon as my hands don’t look like lobster claws! A side effect of the antibiotic prescribed for my superbug is photosensitivity. I did not realize that sunscreen is not as effective in this situation. My hands and feet are both severely sunburn. 😩😵‍💫🥴 Fortunately the temps are nice enough today that I can take my brother to the pool while there is still shade this morning. I just can’t catch a break. The good news is that I think the antibiotic is working. But it’s a slow process. I’m not 100% better but I am definitely improving. I go back to the doc next Thursday before I head north to take my brother back to Michigan and visit my kids/grandkids.

I have some UV gloves arriving today so protect my hands while I’m outside. Never thought I’d need gloves in Florida. Hahaha!

Yes, but then Lady Jay is English, so hot cross buns are part of her background, so she made it part of our kids' background.
