So, we're past the Hump … day, and will slide on over into the weekend. Gently, of course.

Let's start with a little caffeine. Or a lot, depending.

Lights on, Lady Dryad has cleaned up and we’re ready to go.

Coke Zero for Kat, of kourse.

Tea Kettle is refilled and ready. There are pots of Yorkshire and Irish Breakfast teas available on the sideboard, plus all the other fine teas in the box. Sachets of Swiss Miss are available, along with the usual mound of mini marshmallows.

Big Bertha has been cleaned, rinsed, and refilled, and is now perkin' away.

Today we're using Lumberjack coffee blend, for those of you who jack off your lumber…or someone else's!

No donuts today – don't know why – but some very nice lookin' coffee cakes.

And I whipped up some Alice B. Toklas brownies for those who want to get a little bit higher with their chocolate intake.

Travel day for someone out there, so – drive safe, OK?

I’m having to pay for extra sessions with my acupuncturist and Reiki healer to not become frozen in fear.

And so much for our checks and balances system. Not really working. Judges rule. They are ignored. No consequences. Congress is bypassed. Opposers get attacked in the worst way. Supporters commit crimes and get pardoned. How does this not ring familiar to the darkest spots in history (and present day) to anyone?

I am thinking this might be a George Floyd moment. People are not just getting on with their day as if nothing happened, This one is galvanizing people into action. Anyone who has seen the videos will recognize it for what it was. a brutal and senseless execution of a woman who posed no harm to anyone. Worse, the administration is doing their best to justify it as self-defense, which is complete bullshit. Sorry that it happened in your neighborhood. The best comfort I can give you is that people all across the country are stepping up and taking notice and we're not going to let this go. peace and love to you and everyone else affected by this tragedy.

Yes, a lot of things could have played out differently. The whole situation is just unfortunate on many levels. Despite the chaos, I can take some comfort in the fact that there has not been any violence since the tragic event took place.

Back to more positive programming… The sun is out here for the first time in weeks. I thrive on sunshine, so I am happy. We dodged a snow/ice storm last night. All good things! And I am looking forward to a quiet day today and a weekend full of football. Go Pack Go!
