It was bright and sunny here yesterday afternoon, but chilly – a high of only about 11C (42F).

And…it's cloudy and cool again today. We're going to an open air farmer's market here this morning, which should be a gustatory adventure!

Had a very nice Gewürztraminer from Alsace yesterday evening. YUM!

Might put it on our wine list between the Manischewitz and Andrés Baby Duck.

Baby Duck, for those of you who are uneducated in the ways of Canadian (former) wines, was the best-selling wine in Ontario in 1989, before the province was forced to stop taxing Ontario wines preferentially, and hence had to produce real wine, not soda pop from Concord grapes.

Baby Duck was fizzy and purple, and truly horrible stuff. An enterprising reporter from The Toronto Star took a bottle to London and asked one of the great wine merchants there the proper way to serve it.

The critic thought for a moment, then said, " Frozen … on a stick!"

Heading up to Michigan today to take my brother home and then spend the next 8 days seeing family and friends. Now that my comp story is in, I have a lot of stories to catch up on reading. Rumps’ patrons always have some amazing entries and I can’t wait to see what y’all have written! 😘😘

Not as rainy here in lovely (wet) Normandy! Today is, I think, a rest day to spend indoors.

Meanwhile, my overactive imagination worked while I was asleep, and I have the next chunk of my comp story, waiting to be written out.

And for you ladies (and the rest) here's a photo of the Ralph Lauren atelier from across the street in Paris, plus a photo from inside the central courtyard, where there is a bar and a café. All quite beautiful.

Fortunately, it was closed when we walked by early morning on our last day in Paris! I told Lady Jay just how desolé I was.
