Tia Carrere & Middle Age Dad Band
That's been coming up in my recommendations but I have not partaken yet. I had a bit of thing for Tia in her heyday but haven't heard anything about her in a very long time.
Speaking of actors who also sing, Kate Hudson is proving to be pretty capable in the vocal department. Her dad, who I otherwise know nothing about, was apparently a singer. Mom is, of course, actor Goldie Hawn.
Just call it "The Lust Boat"
Sailing Sultry Seas With Sexy Sirens
There's an element of heat in this story.

Don't be callin' me no saint, there Lion. It's one thing I ain't!
Although I will admit, I am pretty good…
Thanks for getting things started, and kicking off HUMP-Day for us!
And today is truly special for me – I'm going to see a new dentist.
We loved our previous dentist. Not only is he a professor of dentistry, but he is the Toronto Raptor's team dentist.
And he's VERY good!
But driving back into Toronto gets old very quickly, so we're moving to somebody closer to home, recommended by our former dentist.
So – like I said: special!
An incredibly talented, but modest Polar Bear, often mischievous, but never malicious!
And it's Thirst-Day down at the bar … with da Bear!
I understand that there are tornados and violent storms across the Great Plains, and heat and fire warnings in the South, but spare a little pity for us here in the Great White North!
We had a FROST warning last night, and Lady Jay is NOT HAPPY!
And when Lady Jay ain't happy, NOBODY around this household is happy.
And since I'm the only other person in this household at the moment …
(sigh)
Oh well, let's get some caffeine goin'.
Lights are on, Lady Dryad has cleaned up everything and span.
Tea Kettle is refilled and ready. There are pots of Yorkshire and Oolong teas available on the sideboard, plus all the other fine teas in the box. Sachets of Swiss Miss are available, along with the usual mound of mini marshmallows.
Big Bertha has been cleaned, rinsed, and refilled, and is now perkin' away.
Today we're using l'Or Absolu coffee beans, brought all the way from la France pour vous lot!
I've put a veritable array of pasties to tickle your tonsils.
Take care out there, 'K?

And we'll offer the usual caffeines, today featuring Loon Call Coffee blend, and Yorkshire and Lapsang Souchong teas.
Hot chocolate sachets for them what wants 'em – WITH mini-marshmallows.
And we'll offer donuts - of course – plus a variety of pastries for those who have a sweet tooth.
As for decision day – I'm waiting to hear from a publisher about a book.
Keep your fingers crossed – or paws, as the case may be!

Morning, Rumpies ![]()
Travel safe if heading out for the long weekend. I scribbled a lil something for Memorial Day. Never forget. ❤️
————
It was the way his amber eyes glistened with tears when he said, “There’s no one to remember me… if I don’t make it back,” that really affected me.
I’d met him mere hours ago, but pressed myself into him. “Then make me remember you.”
He was ferocious that first time. In and out. Done. He’d rushed, maybe panicking, already feeling the claws of war tugging. Not knowing when he’d feel the touch of a woman again.
But that second time, he took his time. He stroked my hair. Held the strands between his fingers as if memorizing its color and texture. Then he kissed me. Soft touches of lips with our eyes opening and holding in between kisses before we deepened it with opening mouths. His hands held my face. Mine held his. It was the best way for two strangers to form a meaningful connection. He was making a memory of something warm and soft to hold onto in the cold, heartless trenches.
“I haven’t ever brought a man I just met home before.”
“What made you do it this time?”
“Something in your eyes. I felt like you needed me. Not just tonight but maybe sometime when you’re out there fightin’, you’ll think of me and it will help you in some way.”
He kissed my forehead and nestled me in tighter against him. We lay there listening to the sound of our breathing. Pretty soon we fell into the same rhythm. It was nice. We felt connected.
When I woke, the bed was empty. A note on my nightstand read:
Thank you,
Someone to remember
*
Had he received my letter before the bomb hit?
I didn’t know, but I prayed the soldier knew two would remember him now.
I looked into the amber eyes that matched his. Held the boy who bore his name a little tighter, and knew that soldier would never be forgotten.
Kindness is contagious. Spread it! ❤️
