Yay, Moody Blues! Favourites of mine since I was probably 12 or 13. And, yeah, their 60s-70s stuff goes well with a wide assortment of medication. Pretty trippy on its own at times, in fact. Less so the 80s reboot, which was more straight up rock and roll and less psychedelic.
My new favourite band (it's a very long and diverse list, believe me) is a Mexican guitar duo called Rodrigo Y Gabriela (which is, of course, just Spanish for Rodrigo And Gabriela). Absolutely brilliant guitarists with a style that falls in the hitherto unexplored overlap between flamenco and prog rock (there's a fantastic 19 minute rendition of Pink Floyd's "Echoes" on one of their albums). These two are from their upcoming eighth studio LP.
