Good morning. No news, I guess given the lack of activity. I put on coffee and tea for anyone else sitting vigil here. Here's a couple quieter tunes from favourite singers of mine.

Just another day at the office for me. Yawn. I am having my Thursday blahs. I seem to have fatigue every Thursday, sometimes even a headache.
I remember those days, Ape... but now, older and retired, I sit here in Crete overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, sipping a Gin and tonic, thinking of Lion, while editing my latest story. I am sure those days will happen for you too. 😎

Probably not Crete (tempting as that is) but yeah, might get there eventually. The problem with me on Crete would be the constant temptation to go touring to the Minoan palaces and other historical landmarks there. Not to mention excursions to see other islands. I adored Santorini when I was there on my Aegean cruise.

Coincidentally, Bear, Tanqueray gin was what I was drinking yesterday evening with grapefruit tonic, while on our balcony, and yes I may have had one too many. 🙄😎 I have another please Bear, thank you. 😎
I wish we knew for sure Lion’s status. On heavy pain meds, maybe he just can’t log on or use his phone. 😢 I hate not knowing. He said a friend of his was going to contact one of us when he passed.
He was too young… 😢

I keep checking for obituaries and none so far. But I bet he’s reached the point where logging on is more than he can handle. My heart hurts. He’s been such a dear friend.
Good weekend morning!! I've put a load of dark roast in Bertha and there's pots of Yorkshire Gold and Irish Breakfast tea.
Kind of gray and meh here for the weekend. I mowed the lawn after work yesterday since this weekend doesn't look promising for outdoor work.
Kalandra is a new discovery of mine, a Nordic band (Swedes and Norwegians mostly) based in Oslo, Norway but who first met attending art school in Liverpool, UK. Their sound is maybe best described as prog folk rock. They have a new album coming soon and the latest release is a special one for them. The writer is a woman from the Isle of Man who is a friend (from university) and former member of the band.

Ooo that’s very affecting music, Mr Ape. Kinda inspiring me to write something dark.
Difficult week with Dad. Had to switch out his bed in facility to a hospital bed and his walker’s now a wheelchair. No words for what it’s like to see him in this condition. It’s Mom all over again.
Sending love to you all. Life can be fucking hard, but it’s worth the journey, right? ❤️

Vibes. We went through similar with my Dad (12 years ago this Fall). He didn't last long in facility though. Went in around Canadian Thanksgiving (early October) and passed on Remembrance Day that same year. But boy did he go downhill fast.
