I love accents provided that they are not too strong or become bad speech. In England, when the letters 'th' become an 'f' I cringe. Ah fink most of yer will know wha' ah min!
I love most European accents and especially the Dutch. It always sounds so welcoming and friendly somehow.
Those of you familiar with my stories such as 'My Aunt' and 'The Last Flight' will know that I like to portray accents where possible so that the reader doesn't think all the characters sound the same. For instance:
“It were my fault, Karen,” she blurted. “The postman were knockin', said 'e 'ad a for yer but yer weren't answerin' the door. I tried meself a couple o' times. I could 'ear the radio on so I knew you was in. When I couldn't get no reply I 'phoned yer airline and spoke to a Mrs. Barnes. She were really concerned and called the Police!” (The Last Flight)
or:
“Please, Mistress,” she implored, “It weren't moy fault, it were the vicar. 'e grabbed moy bum as oi went t' pour the gravy fer 'is woife. Made oi jump 'e did, Mistress.” (My Aunt)
A pretty woman with a soft accent can make me go weak at the knees so, in answer to the question, yes, they definitely do. ;)
I would not say it turns me on, but some are pleasant to listen to.

Kiss Kiss Jeanie {}{}
I used to share a house with a guy who was from Waterford, Southern Ireland, and he had women falling over themselves to be with him. As it happened, he was a really lovely bloke, with a great attitude, not bad looking and with a sense of humour that could laugh anybody into bed with him, so he just had his choice of woman any night of the week.
If I'd not been with a steady partner I'd have considered him myself, even though he was a foot shorter than me!
I like my man to be well spoken, but whether that's well spoken with an English accent or well spoken with a Russian accent is neither here nor there really.
