I read that in this mornings paper. Someone please tell me why he's above the law and should not do any time? The other 2 men are going to serve, he should too. He used the excuse that he didn't know about such matters, well can I call BULLSHIT here? For as long as I remember being a resident of the US requires you to pay taxes. SHEESH!!!
Willie Nelson

Makes a deal to pay what - 10%
and gets busted for drugs . . . Where's he?

It pays to be rich in the U $ A
always. Look at how many livers Larry Hagman bought.
I remember hearing Snipes even wrote letters to the gov't, telling them how he thinks he shouldn't pay the taxes.

he was acquitted of more serious felony charges of tax fraud and conspiracy. Jurors accepted his argument that he was innocently duped by errant tax advisers.

Now come on. He either did or didn't know about the taxes. He got acquitted and then got convicted? Am I missing something here?
Not only did he write letters, but he also had a few of those tv judges there on his side, at his trial to plead on his behalf. He said he didn't know anything about all the financial business or whatever....the man has got to be in his forties, he has had to deal with taxes at least once or twice in life. He is by no means above the law just because he made a few good movies and he should do his time.
