A medical system that is based on need, not ability to pay, for all (which addresses the examples in the opening post and then some).
Standards for food and water that ensure clean, uncontaminated nutrition, drinking and washing (which we are supposed to have in the West, but we have seen that system break down time and again).
Proper prenatal, maternal, and pediatric care for all families (saves both mothers and children).

That's how I'd solve about 80% of our Earthly health problems. Yeah, I'd die a horribly painful death from gamma burst level - radiation poisoning - but I could help 100% of the people who really needed some life saving procedures. Kill 2 birds with one stone.
I'd defund all militaries and use those resources for basic human rights.
The average nuclear weapon costs $5 million a piece according to google - that's a lot of bread. That doesn't take into account other weapons, training, staffing.
