The most powerful moment in his speech was when he took direct aim at those who traffic in anti-semitism.

 Let us hope his speech helps reduce that strain of cultural ugliness, even if only for a time.

Part of the problem is with Israel's message where they deliberately conflate the state of Israel with Jewish people, and therefore criticism of Israeli politics with criticism of Jews. There's a whole lot to be very critical about regarding Israel, as it's an apartheid state. And therefore, this Israel == Jews stance only helps to fire up anti-semitism IMO.
