'WHERE is my SUNDAY paper?' The irate customer calling the newspaper office loudly demanded, wanting to know where her Sunday edition was. 'Ma'am,' said the newspaper employee, 'today is Saturday. The Sunday paper is not delivered until tomorrow, on Sunday.' There was quite a long pause on the other end of the phone, followed by a ray of recognition. as she was heard to mutter, 'Well, shit... so that's why no one was at church today.'
Oh don't, that reminds me of my gandmother, who has alzheimers. She's been more or less brain dead for 10 years.
aww, that's terrible. I took care of some biddies with that when I was in nursing in the early 90s.
Really bad at times.
What about papers? Dog pee on the carpet again ?

My grandmother had it as well. Took care of her through it all. The hardest thing I have ever done.
B says I fit in just fine. Oh yaaaa.

My mother died almost a year ago after suffering from Alzheimer's and Parkinson's. It was awful.
Wow what a buzz kill this thread turned into.
Love my sisters and Batdude too!
Sorry to hear Nicola.zSLGiIYmINWnY5H5
Thx OT. I did shed a tear or two earlier.
Ah Baby, I'm sorry. It's always hard to lose our oldsters. They have some of the coolest stories when we take time to hear them.
I never knew mine, but my heart goes to you.
Now.
Way back when I was a kid - the earth was just cooling.

Sorry to hear that Nicola my thoughts are with you and yours.
My deepest sympathies Nic.
♥ Listen, touch, and look around in the air and on the ground. If you watch all nature's things, you might just see a fairy's wings. ♥
Condolences Nicola. My grandmother too is in her 90s and suffering from that horrible disease.
That's ok Sweetie. The couch is always open for you.
I'm sorry to hear that, Nic. My own was 98 and had it, too. I feel it was a full life, though. Her two sisters were into their 90s and I'm hoping I got those genes.
Don't worry, the Roccotool never dies.
