Not sure she had achieved "celebrity" yet, but a decade ago the young singer-songwriter Christina Grimmie was murdered. Hit me harder than other musicians might have because I had just discovered her and was quite impressed with her talents. And then, boom, it's over thanks to a nut with a gun. Her family do what they can to keep her memory alive and did get some more of her recordings released posthumously but she'll never be the star a lot of us thought she might become.
