My first wife and I actually participated in an open & swinging marriage both together and separately. My current wife would NEVER accept such activities and all my playing is on the side. I have had many encounters and some were threesomes / with someone while being watched live having sex during said activities in my current marriage so I'd say not a pretender!

Why would someone go from an open, swinging marriage, to one that isn’t? That is simply not logical to me!

New partner who convinced them of the value of monogamy? Change of heart after a bad experience? Had qualms all along but finally listened to them and found a partner who shared them? I can think of lots of reasons, really. Could be a whole thread unto itself. Not everyone is built for poly. Not sure I am.
