With whipped cream or ice cream?

Depends- if the pie itself is being served hot then a scoop of cold ice cream on top for the contrast is sublime. If the pie is served cold then whipped cream.

With regards to Pie-

With regards to pie some should be served hot and others cold. Apple for example should be served hot
