I have been hunting around for clarification on something. Is sex between in-laws (ie. family by marriage rather than blood) required to go in ? The examples that I've found are generally not (they seem to show up mostly in ) so I'm thinking not but I haven't found any kind of official ruling on it. I have a new story taking shape involving an affair between a man and his daughter-in-law, who was abandoned by his son and has started on getting a divorce. I just want to make I categorize it correctly when I submit it.
They usually fall under , yes. If you have a strong reason to place it elsewhere, you may do so but it may be moved to at the verifier's discretion, depending on content.
Thanks, clum. is what I was thinking. Just wanted to clarify that it belonged there.
Seeker, way back when, someone on another site gave me some good advice for picking a category: Go with the one that will piss off the fewest readers.

A site's guidelines get priority, of course, but when in doubt... .

Anyone ever done a survey on which categories piss people off?

It depends on the story. If you put one in Anal and it doesn't have any anal, that would be like false advertising.
My latest story is too hot to publish. My most recent story before that is Even Stranger In Lust

The verifier shouldn't allow anything like this to happen (although everyone makes mistakes).

And it really isn't the category that's pissing you off in that case, it's the author's/verifier's mistake that's pissing you off.
