Seras_Victoria got it basically right. It really speeds things up, too, if you do a good proofreading job before submitting. We are verifiers, not editors, and if there are a lot of grammar, spelling, or punctuation mistakes we will send it back to you, multiple times if necessary. Read over the various stickied posts in Writers' Resources to see what are our standards. If you have someone who can read it over for obvious mistakes, that's a good idea, too.
