Quickie Sex doesn't have an upper limit. I've read some seriously long Quickie stories. The sex itself happens very fast, but set up and plot and what not can take up thousands of characters.
Each category also has a pertinent story description on the main page. It should help clear up any confusion.

Erotica does not necessarily equal sex.
I've written two FE stories for Lush. For me FE is more about a piece of prose than a story in the traditional sense. Though I'm sure given its loose definition here, other people adopt a different approach.
I like the genre for writing. If I write anything more for Lush it'll probably be in this category
